Nashville recording engineer Aaron Shelton recalls his experiences working in the recording studio. Discussion includes the original session for "Near You"; the start of the Castle Recording Company; recording for Jim Bulleit; a description of the early recording equipment and early recording techniques; artists he recorded, including the Louvin Brothers, Red Foley, and Webb Pierce; radio engineering for the Grand Ole Opry; early WSM programming; working with different producers, including Paul Cohen, Fred Rose, Art Satherley, and Don Law; and memories of his experiences as an engineer.
